For ages 8 to 12

About the Workshop
You may have heard people say: “Life is good!” or “Life is going well!”

What does a good life mean to you? Is it experiencing as much pleasure and as little suffering as possible, having what you want, or are there “good things” you have to get?

For the first time ever at Playeum and as part of Giving Week, we’re playing with a little bit of philosophy and diving into big questions about life with our friends from Little Philosophers! We invite all children aged 8 to 12 to join us for this workshop as we discuss different views, tap into our sense of wonder and exchange perspectives on what makes life good.

About Little Philosophers
Little Philosophers LP is a registered limited partnership formed by Ngiam Li Yi (general partner) and Chan Kei Nin (limited partner). Both of us graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Along with several other passionate individuals, we hope to offer opportunities for children to experience the joys of exploring exciting ideas and perspectives with their peers through philosophical discussions.

About the Artist from Little Philosophers
Ngiam Li Yi is a philosophy lover/ playmaker/ art-maker. As a philosophy lover, she hopes to contribute to a future with many open minds by encouraging children to think about big questions. As a playmaker at Playeum, she is learning to interact with children in gentle and open-ended ways. As an art-maker, she attempts to capture her thoughts and what she sees through illustrations and photos.
